Neturen has applied its expertise in induction induction heating to develop its gear contour hardening technology over a number of years.
SRIQ® (Super Raid Induction Heating and Quenching)" provides rapid final heating (0.5 sec. or less) after pre-heating for a few seconds, which enables quenching along the contour of the gear and achieves very high compressive residual stress at the root of each tooth.
Accordingly, the process delivers many advantages, such as high bending fatigue strength, as well as reduction of post-processes thanks to less quenching distortion arising from fast heating. As such, this technology is accepted for automobile parts and the like.
