Since induction quenching is basically done in air, even though workpieces are heated quickly and cooled rapidly, scale (oxide film) is generated on their surface after quenching, and this must be removed in post-processes such as polishing and machining.
Neturen has been pursuing ways to clean surfaces to produce a metallic luster, free from coloring and scaling, while satisfying heat treatment quality by controlling the atmosphere during heating and cooling.
As such, we expect to reduce cost and lead time through eliminating or cutting back post-processes.

Non-Oxidizing Induction Quenching of Screws

Surface Composition Analysis (X-ray Analysis)

Absence of oxide on the surface is confirmed.

Cutting back or elimination of processes

Eliminating or cutting back post-processes thanks to non-oxidizing quenching

Benefits

- It enables you to eliminate post-processes such as polishing, machining, shot blasting, and the like.
- It prevents coloring and enables the surface to retain its pre-quench metallic luster.
- It enables you to reduce equipment malfunctions thanks to less scale generation.
