High-strength steel bars used in prestressed concrete to improve the properties of concrete, which has low tensile strength, by adding compressive force in advance to further increase the strength of the concrete structure.

PC stands for prestressed concrete.

Using PC technology makes it possible to overcome concrete’s greatest weakness, which is that it is strong against compressive forces but weak against tensile forces.

Neturen PC steel bars are manufactured using high-frequency heat treatment, and their performance conforms to JIS G 3109 (PC steel bars) for round steel.Compared to other manufacturing methods, high-frequency heat-treated materials show less difference in proof stress in tensile and compression tests.

Manufacturing Process

Selected materials are processed into uniform cross-sections by pultrusion processing, and then given the necessary mechanical properties through high-frequency heat treatment.The processed cross-sections are then cut to specified lengths and thread-rolled.

How to use

Used to press concrete into place at high stresses of up to 80% of the standard bearing capacity at normal times.

Sample usage

Neturen PC steel bars are widely used for railroad tracks (slabs and concrete sleepers), box culverts for sewers and common ditches, as well as bridges and construction.
